The World's WORST Commercial EVER

Yes, that is Mel, From "Alice" -- Don't make commercials like this anymore (thank goodness!) This is really bad.

Do I still have my hair?

Well, this week has been overly stressful and sad too. So I'm not sure if I should pull my hair out, shave it off, or just let it turn white with lightening speed. And my first vacation of the year is still a month away. I'm going insane.

Write it and they shall come.

Well, as you know, yesterday I wrote that the Times Union must not be printing my letter. I guess I jinxed the whole thing because, now that I wrote yesterday's post, the Times Union has now printed the letter. It's in today's edition. Unfortunately, it's not on-line so I can't copy it here. Oh well, you'll just have to take my word on it.

Another one that has scared me . . .

How You Live Your Life

You seem to be straight forward, but you keep a lot inside.
You tend to avoid confrontation and stay away from sticky situations.
You prefer a variety of friends and tend to change friends quickly.
You tend to dream big, but you worry that your dreams aren't attainable.

I'm shocked at the result.

Your Career Type: Enterprising

You are engertic, ambitious, and sociable.
Your talents lie in politics, leading people, and selling things or ideas.

You would make an excellent:

Auctioneer - Bank President - Camp Director
City Manager - Judge - Lawyer
Recreation Leader - Real Estate Agent - Sales Person
School Principal - Travel Agent - TV Newscaster

The worst career options for your are investigative careers, like mathematician or architect.

Well, I didn't even get 2 seconds of fame let alone 15 minutes.

Not that I'm crying about it, but I'm assuming the Times Union changed their mind about posting my letter to the editor. Oh well, another day, another whine for me.

You Are a Chihuahua Puppy

Small, high strung, and loyal.
You do best in the city with a adults - young kids could crush you!

I don't know why, but I'm actually surprised.

Your Brain is 53% Female, 47% Male

Your brain is a healthy mix of male and female
You are both sensitive and savvy
Rational and reasonable, you tend to keep level headed
But you also tend to wear your heart on your sleeve

And I always thought I would be Wonder Woman

You Are Elektra

There's really no superhero with more style than you.
Because who could beat being sexy assasin ninja?

Your Driving Is is: 59% Male, 41% Female

According to studies, you drive both like a guy and a girl.
This means you're a pretty average driver, with typical quirks.
Occasionally you're frustrated and or a little reckless, but that's the exception - not the norm.

New York State Court of Appeals, You let so many down.

I know the Court's decision was last week - you know, the one which essentially told gays they were second class citizens that should never be able to marry and obviously scare kids with their homosexual ways. Yeah, that one. Although I'm a straight, married woman, I find it upsetting on so many levels that it's hard to express in words and didn't write anything in this blog about it last week.

But I tried by sending a proposed letter to the editor for our local paper, the Albany Times Union.

I got a call this morning letting me know they were going to print it. They couldn't say when, but that they would.

When it gets printed, I'll post a copy of it here.

Only Judge Kaye knows what she is talking about - the rest need to retire.

I do find it interesting that this decision, which violates the freedom of so many, came only two days after our country's day to celebrate freedom. A horribly ironic and sad coincidence.

I am truly sorry that the actions of a few, close minded people have so horribly affected the lives of people that deserve to have their rights too. I apologize on their behalf.

What a Difference a Year makes.

Well, it was a little over a year ago, I had some bad times. Only one year later; however, I couldn't be happier. We live in a place which we love, doing well financially, things are on the rise. Life is GREAT!

To top it all off - it's the 230th anniversary of our country, the good ol' U S of A!

And I've got a cool Uncle Sam Mickey antenna topper on my car to celebrate.

HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!
