Alright, I'll give SNL another chance.

Well, seems like lately SNL just sucks. Then December 17th came. Yes, the Jack Black one. It was HYSTERICAL. Especially my now fave skit of all time:

"Lazy Sunday" by Chris Parnell and Andy Samburg:

I'm even downloading into my Ipod.

More of these and I might give SNL the respect it once deserved.

And to all a good night . . . .

Well, folks, this is the last post until after MY holiday season, i.e., Christmas for the non P.C. folks and the like. If I'm in the mood, I may post a blog before New Year's, but I ain't promising anything! Have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

I never want to see another Christmas Cookie again in my Life!

Well, this weekend was all about the cookies. If they didn't get done then, they weren't getting done. And after 8 LONG, HARD hours, they are finally finished. I can't believe it took me that long to make three different kinds of cookies. I'm exhausted. The family and friends better LOVE them damn it!

OK Christmas, I'm ready for you!

Well, this weekend was Christmas packed - (1) I finished the wrapping (even made some of my own wrapping paper!); (2) wrote out all of the "Holiday" cards - even did extras for those cards we get that we need to reciprocate - we only have to include the address; and (3) decorated the house. Now, next week, I only have to make some cookies! YEAH!

Christmas is exhausting. Even though I started the shopping in August (see other post), it still seems to take forever. Although I LOVE giving out gifts, I really wish we just didn't - look towards the holiday itself. And then get rid of all Black Fridays.

And this year, we're going away instead of staying home. So we'll be one of the MILLIONS on the Thruway driving at the busiest time - that Friday night and then on the following Monday. YUK!

But, I still love Christmas and the holiday feeling.

I'm dying over he-re!

Well, I have this amazing surprise for Mr. Bean for Christmas; and it's killing me because I want to spill it! I don't know if I can wait 18 more days to tell him! And I can't even post it on this blog because I know Mr. Bean reads it! Don't try getting it out of me Mr. Bean, because you won't win!

BTW, Mr. Bean - CONGRATS! You know what you did and know I am SO VERY proud of you! I love you!

Our Life is a GEICO Commercial

So, Mr. Bean and I have been trying to get pregnant. On this last attempt, I went to the doctor's office for my blood test which was early in the am on Monday, 11/28 (also happens to be our anniversary - 7 years, thank you).
So we have to wait until about 3 or 4 pm to get our results.

About 2:58 pm, I get a call on my cell. It's a number I don't recognize so I excitedly pick it up.

GEICO: "Hello, this is your GEICO rep _____. I am happy to let you know that your policy payment will be decreased by $250 per period (every 6 months)".

Me: Why thanks, that's good news.

So I immediately call Mr. Bean up, let him know it's not "THE" call, but that we'll be saving about $500 a year on our insurance.

So about a 1/2 hour later, we get "THE" call and it's not good news.

So, of course we were pretty devastated, but my sweet Mr. Bean, to try to cheer me up, says - we should call GEICO to see if we can get royalties for a commercial recommendation. I was like - what are you talking about. So this is the commercial he suggested:

Wife: Hi honey, I have great news!

Husband: What, you are pregnant?

Wife: No, but we just saved a bunch of money on our car insurance!

So, needless to say, he gave me a good laugh when we both needed it most, and although we're both pretty sad, we'll move on. And this "commercial" still gives us a much needed laugh.

Do you think GEICO will give us some moola for the idea?
