I apologize in advance!

Sorry to all but I got sucked into this by Eric Luper. We can all thank him later.

Here are the rules: Each player lists 8 facts/habits about themselves. The rules of the game are posted at the beginning before those facts/habits are listed. At the end of the post, the player then tags 8 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know that they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog.

So here are mine:

1. Over the years, I have been blond, brunette, a redhead and now I have almost black hair. If I could get away with it in my profession, I would LOVE burgundy or purple hair.

2. I was a french major in college and lived six months in France during my junior year for my spring semester, living in Toulon, France. During that time, I traveled all over France, Italy and Greece. Other than marrying Mr. Bean, it was the happiest time of my life; and I cried when I left.

3. All my life growing up, I wanted to be a teacher. My dad was an attorney and there was no way in heck I was going to be one. Well, I student taught and HATED IT! So I had to change all plans, and here I am an attorney. Dad is so proud.

4. I hate cucumbers, bananas and watermelon b/c of their taste and lemons, grapefruit, oranges, grapes, raisins and cherries b/c of their texture.

5. I graduated from college in three and a 1/2 years, and student taught before law school which confirmed my opinion that I was not cut out to be a teacher.

6. I have been west of the Mississippi only three times in my life - twice to Chicago (one trip included Wisconsin) and once to Phoenix. However, I have been to the countries of England, France, Monte Carlo, Switzerland, Italy, Greece, The Netherlands, Venezuala and to the Caribbean several times.

7. I am becoming like my grandmother where I can't sleep past 5 am but am asleep by 9 pm.

8. I hate water with a passion (I hate the taste); but I force myself to drink three (3) 20 oz. bottles of it a day - which I started on 8/1/2006 when I started my diet, which helped me lose 110 pounds.

Alright, now the suckers who I'm going to tag:

Justice being served?

I'm not going to get into the whole Paris debacle other than to make one big comparison. As the entire world knows (unless you have been living under a rock - or the middle east), Paris is in for 45 days, five already served, for (a) driving drunk; and (b) getting busted for driving on a suspended license not once but twice.

Let's consider a different case. A single mom of two teens, in admittedly poor judgment, bought beer and wine for her kids and their friends if they (a) spent the night; and (b) did not drive anywhere. They all did as she asked; and in fact, all kids had breathalyzer tests taken and none were even found intoxicated. Now I don't agree with the mom at all; but can understand her reasoning - if they don't do it here where I know they are safe, they will do it somewhere else and not be safe.

And how much time did the single mom get? Twenty-seven months - yep 2 years, and three months.

Someone drives a car while impaired which could kill someone but for the Grace of whomever - 45 days. Mom, although using bad judgment in how she did it, trying to stop drinking and driving - 820 days.

And it's not just ruining her life - it's ruining her kids - one of whom has already quit school and is working full-time to support her for when she gets out.

Good job government - once again doing a stellar job.

Ask Bean, Vol. II

Sharon asks:

What is your take on the new Real World Reunion in Vegas? Do you think they have changed in the 5 years that have passed? Do you think Trishelle will be as naughty (nice way of saying slutty) as she was?? Will you watch?

Dear Sharon,

Well, I've watched three episodes so far; and although I love it, none of them have grown up except for Briann - OMG a mother of 2?!?!?!?!?!? The rest all act like children themselves. And Frank I think has actually regressed in age as he was more mature the last go around. I think for him, he feels he didn't make the most of his previous opportunity and was made fun of for it so he's making up for lost time now. Trishelle has been surprisingly subdued so far; but we'll see how long that lasts.

I'm enjoying it and look forward to watching more. If nothing else, it makes me feel better about myself!

Now to the rest of you, send questions to beansblog@gmail.com. I want more questions! As you can see, I can answer anything from TV to relocation opinions. I may not be right, but I'll sure as heck give you my opinion! Send the questions in - I'm waiting for you!

Ask Bean, Vol. I

Andy Melton wrote:

As you know I'm working to move away from home. Where do you think I should try to go to? I've always thought about going to Virginia. But. I really just don't know where to start looking. I need a place where I can get to everything I need to by walking or public transportation. Any suggestions? Also. I'm really thinking of going back to school. I don't want to go to a typical college simply because there are so many things I want to learn. I just don't think it's practical to go to a 4 year school. I want to learn more web development skills, photography and I'd also like to do some cooking classes. Any suggestions as to a school that would serve me well?

Dear Andy,

Thanks for being my first question - and what a great question it is. Virginia is a lovely state and I have a great recommendation for you - a place that has colleges of both the two and four year variety and is big enough to have what you need but not so big that you would feel lost - ROANOKE.

I can recommend it wholeheartedly. It has a bus system for public transportation. It has a community college called Virginia Western which has areas of study of Communications Design; Computer & Electronics Technology; Computer Graphics & Internet Programming; Culinary Arts; and they do have Photography classes. And if you change your mind about a four year college, Roanoke College is a great school too.

The City itself is great too - wonderful malls, restaurants, a great downtown and plenty of places to find work and a place to live.

I hope this helps - good luck!
